Palm Beach County jury has awarded an injured worker nearly $1.88 million after a 70-pound piece of equipment fell and hit him at an FPL power plant. Florida Power & Light Co. was found negligent by the court for causing injuries to Kenya Harvey, an employee of a subcontractor on the job for FPL at its Loxahatchee power plant in October 2015.
