An Arizona hospital is suing more than two dozen pharmaceutical companies including J&J, Abbott Laboratories, Cephalon Inc. and Purdue Pharma, plus several distributors of opioids for “substantial unreimbursed costs.”
Up to now most of these mass tort cases have been filed by cities, states and counties.
