The private developer that was awarded nearly $50 million last month in a historic judgment against the city has offered Sarasota a payment plan it claims could save taxpayers millions.
A lawyer representing Buck-Leiter Development said the firm won’t seek additional attorney fees — which it claims could save an estimated $25 million — if the city pays the full $49.8 million breach-of-contract judgment, plus interest, by 2022.
However, city awaits judge’s rulings on motions that could overturn costly breach-of-contract court judgment.
