Raising The Bar

In January, 2013, Maitri “Mike” Klinkosum of the law firm of Cheshire, Parker, Schneider, & Bryan, PLLC in Raleigh, NC, won back-to-back acquittals for two clients charged with high level felonies in Wake County (Raleigh), NC Criminal Superior Court.  The first was for a client accused of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault inflicting serious bodily injury, and possession of a firearm by a felon.  The second was for a client accused of second-degree rape and second-degree forced sexual offense.  The trials were held within two consecutive weeks.  In April, 2013, Mike also won an acquittal for a client wrongfully charged with two counts of misdemeanor child abuse.  Those charges stemmed from an ongoing custody dispute.  In 2013, Mike was selected for the second year in a row to Business North Carolina magazine’s Legal Elite for criminal law and 2013 Super Lawyers for Criminal Defense.  He has also been named as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in North Carolina by the American Society of Legal Advocates.
